About the
Founder
Lynn E. Smith is a master’s Level Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of outreach and advocacy experience in the Greater Los Angeles and Metropolitan Atlanta area. She fully understands the importance of working with the condition of community, for one common goal. Lynn’s overarching goal is to assist single parent homes with meeting practical needs during their time of crisis and transition.
Through the years, she has been awarded the opportunity to have worked closely with various faith and community-based organizations. While doing so, Lynn has witnessed the hardships families face when the family system is interrupted or broken. Now divorced, she has been a single mother for the past 10 years to her beautiful 13-year-old daughter. While doing so, Lynn has seen firsthand some of the difficulty’s children face when attempting to accept and adjust to this "new normal" after divorce. By far, Lynn have expressed-this has been one of the most challenging and rewarding moments of her life. She can relate to the fear of the unknown and having to make sound decisions even when one feel as if their world has been turned upside down and completely falling apart. During her transitioning, Lynn could find safety and comfort in her family, friends and most importantly, her faith.
It was out of this personal space and experience that Lynn was moved and compelled to start an outreach organization for single mothers. Her heart’s desire is to see women move beyond their trauma or life changing events that have contributed to their heartbreak and move them to a place of being healed empowered and restored through education, encouragement, and empowerment.
